Caring for her ailing Mother, a devoted Daughter meets a Stranger promising comfort and community and is unwittingly drawn into a cosmic encounter...
We’re raising funds to help cover the production of ambitious period horror short EACH A FIRE — with a focus on the film’s post production & festival distribution plan. For this we need your help.
Though our production is lean, our priority has been to make sure the cast & crew are paid for their time & making a film that can play at some of UK's top film festivals.
If you are able to help us reach our target we'd be incredibly grateful.
EACH A FIRE revolves around the relationship between a young woman and her ailing mother, a stranger’s faith in her god, and the mother’s connection to the unknown.
When a mother and daughter encounter a stranger in the wilderness, the daughter hopes their journey has come to an end. However, after drawing close and promising them a new community, the stranger betrays their trust and the three travellers are thrust into a sinister cosmic encounter.
This is a story about three women who put their faith in different places and - ultimately - choose their people over everything else. It is about the unseen threads that bind these character’s fates together. You can find more details on the story in the SUPPORT link above.
We've assembled a fantastic cast & crew and will shoot EACH A FIRE across three days in mid-January (2025). We're using a fair parity pay system across all departments to ensure we cover our talented cast/crew's time, but also do it within the restraints of a small budget.
We will be shooting across Dartmoor, utilising the natural rugged and atmospheric beauty of the landscape.
Post-production will be completed shortly by April ready to start submitting to the BAFTA & BIFA qualifying festivals on our list.
